IEEE VESIT kicked off the New Academic Year's Parade of Events with an Article Writing and Technical Paper Presentation Seminar conducted by Prof. Nagananda. It is commonplace experiences to see engineers who have a vast technical know how, but lack the ability to express their ideas in an efficient manner. The experience was a great help for all IEEE Members especially from the Second Year to get a firm understanding of the basic dos-and-don’ts of writing a Technical Paper.

What set this seminar apart from a run-of-the-mill lecture was the fact, that Prof. Nagananda made a genuine effort to ensure that the IEEE Members understood the purpose behind an effectively written and presented paper. He stressed upon the importance of channelising ideas and defining a ‘focus and boundary’. The lecture was a thorough learning experience and inspired the IEEE Members to go that extra mile to broaden their horizons.

Winners of the article writing contest:

Winner : Noel Sequeira (D10)
Consolation : Nayan Dodhia (D6)

Winner : Abhijeet Lawande (D11)
Consolation : J.V. Krishna (D15)

Congratulations!
